You can add optional coverages to your home insurance policy to extend protection beyond the standard coverage. You may be able to add or extend coverage for:
Theft and robbery extensions, including higher limits for valuables or special items.
Objects of special value, such as jewellery, artworks, antiques, collections, or musical instruments, when declared individually.
Solar panel, provides specific protection for these installations, covering repair or replacement in covered cases.
Aesthetic renovations, helping maintain a uniform appearance after a covered claim.
Liability Coverage: Limit to €300,000.
Accidental damage: Covers accidental, sudden damage to insured items.
How does the solar panel add-on protect my property?
The solar panel add-on covers fixed solar panels against damage from storms, electrical faults, breakage, theft, vandalism, fire and water damage. This add-on protects these installations specifically to ensure repair or replacement in case of covered incidents.
What does the aesthetic renovation add-on cover?
The aesthetic renovation add-on helps restore the visual appearance of your home interior after damage from covered incidents such as fire, water damage or theft.
Are there any conditions or limitations for aesthetic renovation coverage?
Coverage is limited to restoring the interior appearance of the specific damaged room and does not include exterior home elements or non-decorative items. The insurer pays the cost only if the repair is carried out using materials of similar quality and design, up to a maximum of €6000.
What types of aesthetic renovation coverage are available?
There are two types of aesthetic renovation coverage:
Building coverage: Covers repair of floors, walls, and ceilings in the directly affected room. It excludes coverage of exterior home parts, furniture, doors, windows and lighting fixtures.
Furniture coverage: Covers restoration of the appearance of your personal furniture in the damaged room caused by covered events. It does not cover replacing furniture to maintain matching sets.
In both cases, coverage applies only to the directly affected room, not adjoining rooms or the entire property. Payment depends on completing the actual repair work.
When can I add or change add-ons?
Add-ons are usually added when you first take out the policy.
In some cases, they can also be added at renewal.
Adding or modifying coverages may result in a premium adjustment.
