What is the pregnancy coverage on expat health insurance?

Find out what pregnancy costs are covered under our expat health insurance, including prenatal check-ups, childbirth, and emergency pregnancy care.

Written by Isa

Our expat health insurance covers routine prenatal check-ups (up to €250/year) and childbirth for pregnancies that begin after your policy is active and after a 6-month waiting period. If you're already pregnant when you start your policy, routine prenatal care and delivery are not covered ; but we do cover unexpected medical complications that weren't apparent before your coverage began. This includes urgent pregnancy-related visits, medically necessary termination, pregnancy loss, and premature delivery before the 36th week.
