General cancellation policy:
You can cancel your expat health insurance policy on a monthly basis.
Aside from the first month of your policy, premiums are normally charged on the first date of each month. When you cancel, your insurance coverage remains active until the end of the month you cancel in. As long as you cancel before the end of the current month, you will not be billed again for the following month onwards.
Can I get a refund if I change my mind after purchasing a policy?
Yes, you can receive a full refund under the right of withdrawal conditions:
If the policy start date is within 14 days of purchase, you have 14 days from the purchase date to cancel and get a full refund, provided no claims were made.
If the policy start date is more than 14 days after purchase, you can cancel anytime before the policy begins to receive a full refund.
For example, if you buy a policy on May 1 and the policy starts on May 7, you can cancel before May 14 for a full refund. If the policy starts on August 1, you can cancel anytime before July 31 for a full refund.
What happens if I don’t cancel within the right of withdrawal period?
If you do not cancel within the specified refund periods, a minimum of one month of coverage and payment applies.
What should I do to ensure I receive a refund when cancelling within the withdrawal period?
When cancelling within the withdrawal period because you changed your mind, you must select the option indicating you want a full refund to receive it automatically. Otherwise, the cancellation will be treated as a standard one-month coverage cancellation.
