When it comes to canceling your expat health insurance, the first thing to know is that your policy is based on a monthly cancellation. While the policy can remain valid for up to 5 years, you’re not locked in for a fixed period, you can cancel earlier if needed.
If you want to cancel your policy, here's what you should keep in mind:
Do I have a period of time to cancel and get a full refund?
The answer is yes.
If your policy starts within 14 days of the purchase date, you have 14 days from the day you bought it to cancel and get a full refund, as long as no claims have been made during that time.
Example: If you purchase a policy on the 1st of May, and the policy begins on the 7th of May, then you can cancel anytime before the 15th of May and receive a full refund.
If your policy starts more than 14 days after the purchase date, you can cancel anytime before the policy begins and receive a full refund.
Example: If you purchase a policy on the 1st of May, and the policy begins on the 1st of August, then you can cancel anytime before then, in this case it would be the 31st of July, and receive a full refund.

Is there a minimum payment required if I cancel after the policy has started?

Can I cancel my policy before the policy start date to avoid any payment?
