Yes, hospitalisation is fully covered under private health insurance.

What is included?

  • Hospital admission in approved hospitals

  • Private room with a bed for a companion (when possible)

  • Surgery, treatments and medical care during your stay

  • Medication during hospitalisation

  • No overall cost limit on covered treatments

Hospital stays include:

  • Medical and surgical admissions

  • ICU (intensive care) if needed

  • Maternity and childbirth care

  • Paediatric hospitalisation

Important to know:

  • Hospitalisation must be in an approved hospital

  • You usually need prior authorisation (except emergencies)

  • Waiting periods may apply for planned treatments (e.g. surgery or childbirth)

  • Psychiatric hospitalisation is limited to 50 days per year

Please note: There’s no limit on the cost or length of stay, as long as it’s medically necessary.
