Expat health insurance is available to individuals who have recently relocated to Spain and are seeking their first health insurance plan. Coverage is valid for up to five years from the date of arrival in Spain.
Who is not eligible for expat health insurance in Spain?
The following groups are not eligible for expat health insurance in Spain:
- Individuals who have lived in Spain for more than five years.
- People aged 75 years or older.
- People with pre-existing medical conditions where treatment costs exceed €416.66 per month.
- Individuals who require permanent or high levels of medical care.
- Individuals who practice a professional sport.
