How long does my home insurance policy last?
The insurance policy lasts for one full year from the purchase date. Unless otherwise specified, the policy is automatically renewed each year for the same period, under the terms and conditions in force at the time of renewal.
How is the payment schedule structured for my insurance policy?
Although the insurance contract lasts one year, the payments are made on a monthly basis. When you sign up, you’re charged at checkout for the remaining days of the month starting from your selected start date. For instance, if your policy begins on May 10, the first payment covers May 10 through May 31. After that, payments are billed automatically on the 1st of each month, covering the full month ahead.
Can I cancel my insurance policy after purchase?
Yes, you can cancel your insurance policy within 14 days from the policy start date and receive a full refund.
What happens if I want to cancel my insurance policy after the 14-day cancellation period?
After the initial 14-day cancellation period, you can cancel your home insurance policy by giving written notice at least one month before the renewal date. This notice must be sent before the policy renews, otherwise it will automatically extend for another year.
