If your visa application is rejected, you can cancel your expat health insurance and receive a full or partial refund. If your policy hasn't started yet, you can cancel directly from your account and receive a full refund automatically. If your policy has already started, the refund outcome depends on when you purchased it, your payment plan and whether you provide proof of your visa rejection.

Can I cancel my expat health insurance if my visa is rejected?

Yes. A visa rejection is a valid reason for canceling your expat health insurance. If your policy hasn't started yet, or if it has already started but you signed up within 14 days of today, you can cancel directly from your account and receive a full refund automatically, no documentation required.

If your policy has already started and you signed up within the past 14 days, the refund outcome depends on your payment plan.

What happens if my policy has already started when my visa is rejected?

If your policy has already started and you had signed up more than 14 days ago, a minimum charge of one month's premium applies. Any remaining balance will be refunded upon receipt of proof of your visa rejection.

What documentation do I need to provide if my policy has already started?

If your policy has already started, whether you are on a monthly or annual payment plan, you need to send us a copy of your visa or residence rejection letter. We will then review it and determine eligibility for a refund.
